About Kim Elizabeth James

Kim pitched her way into the first content marketing role for one of Australia's biggest brands at 24. Over the next decade, she experienced firsthand every content challenge her clients face today - from APAC Content Strategist at Hootsuite to Chief Customer Officer, watching millions get spent on strategies that looked impressive in presentations but never worked in practice.

Kim has been in your shoes as a marketer, facing every "this doesn't sound like our brand" conversation, every Monday morning content panic, every stakeholder approval process. She watched great content ideas get diluted through multiple rounds of feedback and saw teams stuck in "keeping the lights on" mode.

Kim believes she will never preach without practising, so she built her content strategy and proved it worked - going viral with 10+ million views in its first year by being authentically herself.

Today, she runs her 30K+ community, The Career Girl Diaries and tests all ideas firsthand.

About Ryan Mitchell

Ryan bootstrapped his way through multiple agency builds, watching marketing evolve while demand for sharp social content increased.

He witnessed businesses struggle with content strategies that impressed in boardrooms but couldn't be executed because of a lack of understanding of what social content actually is (hint: it's not always about SELLING).

Starting in pure performance marketing, Ryan spotted that social-first creative had become essential for any business's success in the modern era.

He's burned countless hours in the content creation cycle, navigated every "this doesn't capture our voice" meeting, and felt the sting of knowing his content could perform better without knowing HOW to do it.

Ryan believes you can't create solutions without living the problem, so he became Wedge's most demanding user.

He looks after the platform and paid media side of Wedge's operations.
